GBHN is back for it's 14th year!

Rachael Friesen Studios and the GQCC have teamed up to bring you an afternoon of fun, candy and a little competition.

THE FUN

Each group will get one "kit", which contains all of the things needed to decorate your house! The houses come fully-assembled and with candy and icing for decorating!

You are more than welcome to bring your own candy/fixings, but they must be edible and in the same form they were in the store.

No pre-prepping allowed!

THE COMPETITION

We've got prizes from Rachael Friesen, Stardust Artwork, Jane Revae, YXE Finds, Blair Colwell, and more!

Categories: Cutest Gingerbread being, most creative use of icing, Queerest house on the block, most creative use of provided materials, and house I'd most like to live in.

(There might be some bonus, secret things too... hint hint)

THE TEAMS

Team up with one or two of your buddies and make your house together!

Epic team names and coordinated outfits are highly encouraged. Get fun with it!

And if your buddies are busy that day, it's OK, we've got you covered! There are others in the same boat that would love to team up with you! But if you'd like to retain full creative control, you can do that too!

We've got a few things planned for you too!

But those are secret.

What's included: A fully assembled gingerbread house kit, including candy and icing! It will be provided at the event! One kit per team.

What's included in the price?

Everything you need! You just need to bring your lovely self! **You don't have to, but I do recommend bringing a cookie sheet, or a small box to easily take it home in. The Cucumber, tomato, and strawberry boxes from grocers also work great!

The kit includes a PRE ASSEMBLED house, a large bag of white icing, a small red icing, a small green icing, 2 gingerbread people cookies, 2 gingerbread trees, and an assortment of candy.

How many people can be in my team?

1-3. If you have a larger group, you're welcome to sign up as two separate teams, and we can put you at the same station!

Can I bring extra candy and things to decorate?

Yes you can! However, it must all be edible, and come in the same form you bought it from the store. No preassembling allowed! 

Rachael and Charlie will be providing some extra little goodies as well, including extra bags of icing!

I want to sign up, but I don't have a team - can I still join?

Absolutely! Just choose what you'd prefer when you pick your ticket from the drop down menu!

Are there any allergies we need to know about?

Yes! All nuts. This is a NUT FREE event.

Will there be food and beverages?

You're more than welcome to bring your own drinks and some snackie-poos, but all items must be drug and alcohol-free. This is a sober event. 

What should I wear?

Clothing, preferably. "Ugly" sweaters, matching shirts, comfy winter jammies, and themed outfits are strongly encouraged! Have fun! 

Is Rachael going to make me do something silly?

... while Rachael cannot MAKE you do anything... you will encouraged to participate in shenanigans. This includes, but is not limited to, photos with your mojo dojo casa house, photos with your team, random dance parties, and unstoppable karaoke. 

Are there any other things we should be aware of?

This is a sober and 19+ event in a safe space. All are welcome! 

While this event is co-hosted by The GQCC, you do not have to be a member to participate.
